Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026. The online application process has started from 11 May 2026 and the last date to apply is 10 June 2026. The CTET examination will be conducted on 06 September 2026 in offline (Pen and Paper) mode. The CTET Certificate is valid for a lifetime. Qualifying CTET opens doors to teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, Central Government Schools and other recognized institutions.
⚠ Important: There is NO provision to choose the examination city. City will be allotted randomly by CBSE. No requests for city change will be entertained. CTET Certificate is valid for Lifetime.

⚠ Exam Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes for each paper. No Negative Marking. Minimum qualifying marks: 60% (90/150) for General; 55% (82/150) for SC/ST/OBC/PH.
How To Apply Online for CTET September 2026
- Step 1 - Visit the official CTET website https://ctet.nic.in
- Step 2 - Click on "Apply Online" link on the Home Page.
- Step 3 - New candidates must first complete Registration with Name, Mobile Number and Email ID.
- Step 4 - Login using your Registration Number and Password.
- Step 5 - Fill in the application form with personal, educational and other required details. Select Paper I, Paper II or Both as applicable.
- Step 6 - Select Language I and Language II from the available options (both must be different).
- Step 7 - Upload photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
- Step 8 - Pay the application fee through online mode.
- Step 9 - Submit the form and take a printout of the Confirmation Page for future reference.
